I am a recent college graduate working in New York City. I have four years of tutoring experience in math, science, writing, and test-preparation. I worked as a private tutor for college and high school students, and I worked as a tutor for the Scripps Academy for middle school and high school women. My experience tutoring has taught me how to make abstract and confusing topics approachable, and how to give students the tools and motivation they need to succeed. I love tutoring and I bring passion and patience to my work with students. I have an outstanding high school and college resume with 7 AP courses, an 800 math SAT score, college merit-scholarship, numerous academic awards and honors, and latin honors (cum laude) for my Bachelors of Arts.

I also have five years of nannying experience, and many more years in babysitting. I graduated with honors in human biology from Scripps College and I am currently taking a year off to work as a research technician before medical school. I am CPR and First Aid certified, and I have excellent references. I would love to find a family for which to tutor or babysit regularly in the evenings and some weekends. I will come prepared to help you child achieve their academic goals, and provide compassionate engaging child care.
